Acupuncture for Vision Loss
For the best outcome there are definite protocols to be followed starting with a 5 day programme of 2 sessions per day, with a minimum of a 1 hour break in between and repeated for 5 days in a row totaling 10 treatments - Wednesday through Sunday.
In many cases, the same schedule will be repeated as soon as possible making a total of 20 treatments. If there continues to be improvement in your vision, we then continue with one treatment a week until there is no more improvement.
We then rebook for another 10-20 sessions in 3-6 months time.
Initial Consulatation – £60
A course of 10 treatments – £750

Please Note

The most common side effects of acupuncture treatment:

  • Bruising or mild pain at the site of needling (especially on the face)

  • Sometimes aggravation of symptoms before improvement.

  • Drowsiness, tiredness, feeling relaxed

  • Fainting during treatment, although this is extremely rare.

The vast majority of people feel pleasantly relaxed and experience no symptoms at all.

Insurance

Various insurance companies allow you to claim back the cost of some of your acupuncture treatment if you receive your treatment from a registrant of a British Acupuncture Federation organisation. For more information click here
